The well restored and attractive cottages, located in the heart of the National Park were originally the old barns for Tylegarw Farm and have been converted from a traditional long tithe barn predating 1745. Converted into holiday cottages in 1990 they have been tastefully furnished & decorated. The cottages are regularly maintained in order to provide a high standard of comfort & practicality.
During the renovation, the original oak beams and low roof rafters were exposed and retained together with tall narrow lancet windows in keeping with the character and period of the building. The grounds are enclosed on three sides by the meandering River Senni, there is a wealth of wildlife with buzzards, herons and red kites circling overhead, whilst the farm has sheep grazing in the fields.
For those wishing to take advantage of the outdoor activities, caving, abseiling, horse riding, not to mention walking, are close by. For more inclement days there are the show caves at Dan-yr-Ogof, Brecon town centre and the facilities of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Please note the cottages are NON SMOKING.
We are sorry but as the cottages are located on a working farm, dogs cannot be accommodated.
